For families who’ve lost a loved one to substance use, NOMA offers compassionate support, meaningful memorials, and restorative programs.
Grief Recovery Support Group
A safe space to breathe.
- Every 2nd and 4th Thursday
A safe, understanding space for families grieving a loss related to substance use.
- Focus: Losses due to substance use (including accidental overdose)
- Includes: Psychoeducation, peer connection, occasional healing activities (e.g., Rage Room visits)

Hope & Healing Workshop
A retreat for reflection and recovery
Held at The Lodge at Vision Ministry (Huntsville, AL). Designed for those grieving a loved one lost to substance use; focuses on action-oriented strategies for moving beyond loss.
- Led by grief and addiction specialists
- On-site lodging (shared rooms; limited)
- Modest fee; financial assistance available

Grief doesn’t end — but it can be softened by remembrance. NOMA offers memorials that give families a way to honor their loved one’s name, memory, and light. We know firsthand how important it is to “say their name.”
