We’re raising funds to create a welcoming hub where every family finds connection, clarity, and hope.
Huntsville is growing and thriving, yet many families quietly face the devastating impact of addiction. Too many people in Madison County experienced an overdose last year, a reminder that the substance use epidemic continues to affect our neighbors, coworkers, and loved ones.
Since its founding in 2016, Not One More Alabama (NOMA) has worked to support individuals and families impacted by addiction through education, advocacy, and community connection. Now we are taking the next step.
NOMA is building a Recovery Resource Center — a place where individuals in recovery, their families, and those grieving the loss of a loved one can find connection, resources, and hope.
This center will become the heart of recovery in North Alabama.
Thanks to the generosity of community supporters, NOMA has been gifted a 10,000-square-foot building in Huntsville located at the corner of Bob Wallace Avenue and Artie Street SW, the former Monarch Bowling Lanes.
This building is currently being transformed into a welcoming space dedicated to recovery and community support.
The NOMA Recovery Resource Center will provide a safe, sober environment where people can gather, build relationships, and access the resources needed to sustain long-term recovery.
Rather than serving as a treatment facility, the center will operate as a Recovery Community Organization (RCO) — a place designed to strengthen recovery through connection, mentorship, and education.
Within this space, individuals and families will find support groups, educational workshops, peer mentorship opportunities, and community programming that fosters resilience and belonging.
For many individuals, the greatest challenge is maintaining stability and connection once they return to everyday life.
NOMA’s recovery resource center will help bridge that gap. It will provide a place where people can develop healthy relationships, participate in sober activities, and build the support networks necessary for long-term success.
The NOMA Recovery Resource Center will create a space where recovery is visible, supported, and celebrated. Families navigating addiction will have a place to turn for guidance. Individuals working toward recovery will find a community that believes in their future.
By investing in this center, you are helping build recovery capital that our community needs — the relationships, resources, and opportunities that make lasting recovery possible.
The Recovery Resource Center will include opportunities for individuals, families, and organizations to sponsor and name specific rooms and spaces within the building.
These contributions support the construction and programming of the center while creating a lasting legacy of support for recovery in North Alabama.
